• Composition: PGLA – copolymer of glycolic acid (90%) and lactic acid (10%); triclosan (antibacterial agent).

• Coating: lactic acid and glycolic acid polymer and calcium stearate

• High quality stainless steel needle and swage. Siliconised needle for greater smoothness.

  The lactic/glycolic polymer coating with calcium stearate provides very high fluidity for smooth passage and minimises any “sawing” effect. The suture is highly flexible, easy to handle, and offers excellent knot security. It retains approximately 70% tensile strength at 14 days and is fully absorbed in about 80 days, with very good tissue tolerance. The siliconised needle further enhances smooth penetration. Indicated for multipurpose soft-tissue ligation and suturing in general surgery. Sterilised with ethylene oxide. For single use.

  Supplied in a “race track” format to ensure the strand unrolls without knotting and with reduced memory. Each suture is packed in an individual aluminium pouch with a quick, easy-open system. Shelf life is 5 years; use immediately after opening. Boxes of 12 sachets. Each suture is 90 cm long.
