A ‘snap-action’ (previously known as a Snappy Snare) is an animal catcher, designed for safely capturing or retracting elusive or frightened animals.

Intended for use on small animals, this easy to use hand-held snare is an excellent piece of kit for animal handling professionals to capture or retract animals from confined or difficult to access areas. The noose is pulled back and held with the operator’s thumb at the handle end of the Snappy Catcher. Releasing thumb pressure frees the noose which tightens instantly and safely around the animal providing temporary restraint. The inner core of Snappy Catcher is breakable so this product is recommended for non-aggressive animals only. Available in one size – 76cm, Neither MDC nor the manufacturer can assume liability for breakage.
